Hey there, internet denizen: welcome!

My name is Jess (apropo my URL: my middle name is Elisabeth. I figured, I could keep it forever if I wanted to; it would never change, right?).. I’m eighteen, just finished high school, venturing into the world on my own for the first time, excited and optimistic and just that little bit apprehensive.

What am I writing about? To be honest with you, I’m not really sure yet. My blog is a rambling collection of thoughts and feelings, without any focus, any central theme. I’m hoping that if I keep at writing and don’t stop, then my writing will improve, my passion will find itself, and the blog will develop into something worthwhile … but forgive me. It’s not quite there yet. These things take time!

But I can warn you about some of the topics that might appear: for instance I love the whole subject of personal development and the psychology behind it, so I’ll probably write a lot about that. I love drawing and photograpy but don’t do enough of it; I love reading and writing (I WILL publish a novel one day); I love travelling and nature and possibilities of exploring the world. And who knows what else; I’m the kind of person that has lots of passions and find it impossible to focus on just one. The problem with that is that actually becoming good at anything is more challenging; but I’ll take on that challenge
